During our recent business trip across Europe, we had the unexpected pleasure of visiting the renowned Jermann winery in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. Founded in 1881 and elevated to global recognition under Silvio Jermann’s leadership since the 1970s, this iconic estate is celebrated for its innovative winemaking, commitment to quality, and sustainable practices.
Nestled in a unique terroir of marl and sandstone soils, Jermann produces some of the region’s most exceptional white wines, including the celebrated Vintage Tunina and Capo Martino blends. The modern winery, inaugurated in 2007, beautifully combines traditional architecture with advanced technology, reflecting a harmony between heritage and innovation.
Our visit offered a chance to experience firsthand the passion and craftsmanship behind Jermann wines, deepening our appreciation for Friuli Venezia Giulia’s winemaking tradition.
What began as a business journey turned into a cultural and culinary discovery—one of those memorable highlights that travel often brings.
